This Privacy Policy explains what information ColorDetector collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We have designed the service to collect as little as possible, and the short version is simple: your images and color work stay on your device.
Information we do not collect
Our color tools process images and values entirely within your browser. We do not upload, receive, or store the images you open or the colors you generate. There are no user accounts, so we do not hold names, passwords, or profiles.
Information stored on your device
To improve your experience, we save a small amount of data in your browser’s local storage, such as your light or dark theme preference and your list of recently picked colors. This information never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and tools people use and how the site performs. It is configured with IP anonymisation enabled, and it records aggregate usage — pages viewed, approximate region, device type and referrer. It never receives the images you open or the colors you pick, because those are never sent off your device in the first place. Google Analytics sets its own cookies; you can block them in your browser or with any standard blocker, and the tools will continue to work normally. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.
Advertising
This site may display ads served by Google AdSense and other partners. Where advertising is shown, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other websites.
