Privacy Policy
What we collect, how it is used, and the choices you have. In short: your images stay on your device.
Last updated: June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information ColorDetector collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We have designed the service to collect as little as possible, and the short version is simple: your images and color work stay on your device.
Information we do not collect
Our color tools process images and values entirely within your browser. We do not upload, receive, or store the images you open or the colors you generate. There are no user accounts, so we do not hold names, passwords, or profiles.
Information stored on your device
To improve your experience, we save a small amount of data in your browser’s local storage, such as your light or dark theme preference and your list of recently picked colors. This information never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
Cookies and analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which tools are popular and how the site performs. If advertising is shown, our partners may set cookies as described in our Cookie Policy.
Advertising
This site may display ads served by Google AdSense and other partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google’s Ads Settings.
Third-party links
Our pages may link to external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.
Children’s privacy
ColorDetector is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
