Cookie Policy
How we use cookies and similar technologies, kept to a minimum.
Last updated: August 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how ColorDetector uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work, to remember preferences, and to provide reporting information.
How we use them
We keep our own use of cookies to a minimum. Essential storage, such as remembering your theme choice and recent colors, is kept in your browser and is not used for tracking.
Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies to distinguish one visit from another and to measure how pages perform. It runs with IP anonymisation enabled and reports in aggregate — we can see that a tool page was popular, not who used it. Blocking these cookies does not affect any tool on the site.
Advertising cookies
If we display advertising through partners such as Google AdSense, those partners may set their own cookies to measure ad performance and to show relevant ads. Those cookies are set by the partner, not by us, and are governed by that partner’s own policy.
Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalized advertising through Google’s Ads Settings or industry opt-out pages. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site function.
Updates
We may update this policy as our use of cookies changes. The latest version will always be available on this page.
